At 23, Paul Miner became one of the youngest members of the PGA of America and was named the head golf professional and director of golf at Tamarack Country Club in Greenwich, CT. Amongst his many accomplishments, Paul is a five-time winner of the Metropolitan PGA’s Junior Leadership Award and winner of the PGA’s National Junior Leadership Award recognizing his achievements and contributions to Junior Golf nationwide.
Miner has served on the Metropolitan PGA’s Board of Governors and Chairman of Metropolitan PGA’s Junior Golf Committee. He is a founding member of the national award winning Metropolitan PGA’s Golf in Schools program. Additionally, Paul has been a speaker at the “Women in Golf” summit and was appointed to the PGA of America’s long range planning committee. As rewarding as being a club pro was, Paul wanted to devote the remainder of his career to teaching. As Paul enters his fifth year at Stony Hill Golf, he continues to hone his skills and technique as one of the area’s most respected coaches as recognized by Golf RangeMagazine’s “America’s Top 50 Golf Instructors” for the past three years.He has taught thousands of golf lessons to players of all levels including some of the Connecticut and Metropolitan New York area’s top amateurs, juniors and college players as well as physically and mentally challenged youths. Paul was a leading innovator in the use of video for teaching and one of the area’s first professionals to use computer driven video analysis. His article ‘Visualization, Understanding and Implementation of the Recorded Golf Swing” has been published.He has written his first brochure entitled “The Fundamentals of Golf” as well as articles for PGA Magazine and Golf Digest.
Paul’s technique provides his students with the ability to improve one’s game by building their skills through clear and concise communication and solid fundamentals.His passion for the sport along with his passion to teach is a unique combination that breeds success with his students.When asked about his job, he simply says, “I feel privileged to not only work in a field of which I’m passionate, but to pass it along to others, is a dream come true.”Email Paul Miner
Bob Dugan is a veteran of the Professional Teaching Staff at Stony Hill Golf Learning Center. He works with each student to develop a swing that works best for each player so that he or she can reach their maximum potential. Bob incorporates a variety of elements in his instruction, using the latest in fitness, learning aids and video analysis to help students improve.Each lesson is specifically customized to the player and the stage of his or her game.
Bob has worked with golfers of all ages and skill levels, including children, high school students and club champions. He is constantly expanding his teaching acumen through attendance at PGA Teaching and Coaching summits. He adheres to the Stony Hill philosophy of supplementing basic teaching fundamentals with high tech computer video analysis and club-fitting expertise.
Bob has taught over 30,000 lessons during his 23 years as instructor. He previously worked at Klein's Golf in Madison, CT, the Connecticut Golf Center, and was the former Director of Instruction at Longshore CC in Westport, CT. He also played on the North Atlantic Tour and competed in numerous professional events. His vast instructional experience can help all players improve their games. Email Bob Dugan
